Developed in India, yoga is a psyco-physical discipline with roots going back 5,000 years. Most yoga practices focus on physical postures called "asanas," breathing exercises called "pranayama," and meditation to attain improved physical fitness, mental clarity, and general well-being.

Maya classes combine traditional alignment and flow principles of yoga with dynamic, contemporary choreography that together challenge the body and focus the mind. Sun salutations, movement linked with breath, and held postures will all be explored to help cultivate core strength, balance, breath techniques, flexibility, and concentration. We offer introductory, intermediate and advanced levels of practice as well as specialized courses and series, including introductory yoga, pre- and post-natal, and kid's yoga. Each of our instructors has a unique teaching style and comes from a different training background. We encourage you to try out different instructors to find the classes that are most beneficial to you. You can find specific descriptions of each class on our schedule buy selecting the class name.
